Rachel Henry is a junior in the Marketing program where she has pursued interests such as graphic design and consumer behavior. Rachel grew up just north of Pittsburgh in Gibsonia, and recently transferred to Chatham after studying at the University of Dayton for 2 years.
At Dayton, Rachel served as Vice President of Public Relations for the Theta Delta chapter of Kappa Delta Sorority. This experience was meaningful because she had the opportunity to increase member retention and promote philanthropy events as well as the chapter in general. She also had blogs published on the national Kappa Delta website. While evaluating options, Rachel was drawn back to Pittsburgh to finish her degree and she was impressed by the Business and Entrepreneurship Department’s reputation for closely working with students and caring about their success.
Outside of school, Rachel has worked in business development for a local automotive dealership for 5 years. There, she gained experience in social media, customer relationship management, graphic design, and mass marketing campaigns. Her favorite experience from this job was attending Chevrolet’s Find New Roads conference in Las Vegas. There, she had the opportunity to see and drive new vehicles before they launched. This experience sparked her interest in automotive marketing and management. Because of this, Rachel seeks to apply every subject she learns to the automotive industry. She is excited to join the B&E department assistantship team this spring.
