The Sustainable Impact Team finally met with Walter Fowler and members of Chatham’s Board of Trustees Friday February 17, for a meeting that had been rescheduled multiple times. They were discussing divesting Chatham from fossil fuels. To do this, the school would have to change its investment strategy and try to invest only in companies that do not propagate fossil fuel use.

Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, or PAAR, will be sending team members from both their prevention and crisis intervention departments to Chatham’s campus throughout the semester to discuss topics surrounding sexual assault prevention. The first workshop was held on January 25, focused on the importance of consent.

On January 31 in the Carriage House, “The Vagina Monologues” cast partnered with student affairs to lead a Diversity Dialogue on the issues surrounding intersectionality, the concept that oppression can be connected and overlap, or lack thereof in the show.
