Brightspace – Learning Management System

Brightspace by D2L is Chatham’s new learning management system (LMS). It contains all courses. It is where both teachers and students go to turn in assignments, participate in forums, and online chats. It also allows faculty and students to easily communicate and to post and view unofficial grades.

Pulse App: Brightspace App for students. It provides one easy view of course calendars, readings, assignments, evaluations, grades, and announcement items. Brightspace Pulse is available for download from any global Google Play store or Apple App Store.

Portal – Student Portal

The Chatham University online Student portal is used to register for classes, update your personal information, and pay bills. This document will show you how to navigate through the interface and perform tasks such as registering for classes.

VPN – Needed for SPSS

Do you need access to a specific drive from home? Utilize Sophos VPN for access. Sophos VPN clients provide easy-to-use and transparent remote access to all company applications. This is provided through secure SSL or IPsec VPNs from Windows, Linux, Mac OS and UNIX-based systems.

How to Quickly Map Drives on a PC:

  1. Connect via VPN
  2. Click on this link to download the remote drive login script
  3. Unzip the file
  4. Double click the file to run and map all drives.
  5. Step 4 will need repeated every time you access VPN

Zoom – Videoconference

Customizing your Profile and Name in Zoom

Zoom is our online meeting tool. It is both integrated with Moodle and a standalone tool. It is integrated with Outlook, too. It allows users to connect and video chat, share screens, and more. Everyone at Chatham is permitted to use Zoom. It is connected to AD – they just have to log in with their Chatham email and password.
