The Kids Are Alright … When They Have Great Books

Are you a graduate student with young folks at home? A Chatham staff member with a newborn? A professor with kids who are especially wiggly at bedtime?

Why not bring home some of JKM Library’s books for children and young adults? Known as the Curriculum Collection, and primarily intended for students studying children’s literature, these books are ready to be checked out and read aloud (or read alone).

Kids will love classic picture books like Corduroy and Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. We also have folk tales like Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain and The Fables of Aesop. Older children will enjoy the award-winning Bud, Not Buddy and The Dark is Rising. Nonfiction lovers can try biographies of Malcolm X or Rachel Carson, as well as topic books like Kitten, Mars, or Tibetans.

Browse Chatham’s children’s books for more great reads!
