What goes here?

Several journals have editorial spots in the beginning of their peer reviewed journals. These spaces are typically dedicated to innovative thoughts or unique observations. They don’t require as much evidence as a traditional journal article, but may be an indication of things to come in the journal or the profession. I was lucky enough to have one published in The Journal of Manual & Manipulative Therapy. Recently an editorial was published on the pros and cons of research in social media in JOSPT.

I would encourage you to be as critical, or even more critical, of these posts as you might be of peer reviewed research which only makes it to print after an exhaustive process of changes, modifications, and referencing.

Intelligent and ironic comments encouraged.
