Welcome

Welcome to the home page of the 47th annual Western Pennsylvania Undergraduate Psychology Conference (WPUPC).

The Conference will take place at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 8am to 2pm.

The Conference is a wonderful opportunity for undergraduate Psychology students to connect with other Psychology students and faculty, and present their research in a positive, supportive environment.  This important professional development opportunity allows students to practice their presentation skills and to discuss their ideas with other faculty and students.  Students from all class years and skill levels are encouraged to participate.  Those students wishing to attend, but not present, are also welcome to come, support their peers and enjoy the academic conference environment.

The Conference also provides a great opportunity for faculty to meet colleagues throughout the region and share new ideas.

Background

The Western Pennsylvania Undergraduate Psychology Conference (WPUPC) has been providing the opportunity for undergraduate psychology students to present their research since 1973, when six organizations, under the sponsorship of the Northwestern Pennsylvania Psychological Association (NWPPA) presented the first conference at Alliance College.  In the years since then, thousands of students have presented, and many of them have gone on to become noted psychologists.  (Main WPUPC website: https://sites.google.com/a/allegheny.edu/wpupc/home)
