CFA Society Pittsburgh: 2019-20 Collegiate Personal Financial Planning Competition

Students currently enrolled at a two or four year academic institution are eligible to compete, and schools must formally register by submitting the accompanying registration form to Gene Natali at:  emnatali@csmckee.com.  Spring and Fall Semester entries are eligible.  

A financial plan is a road map to help students plan for and achieve their financial goal and through this program, the CFA Society of Pittsburgh hopes to help our regions students take ownership of their financial future.

The NABA Inc., Pittsburgh Chapter Scholarship Program is the mechanism through which the local chapter demonstrates its commitment to providing financial assistance to students preparing to enter the accounting and/or finance profession.

Requirements

  • An essay of a minimum of 500 words (maximum 750).
  • An updated resume. At a minimum, resumes should include: education history, detailed work experience, extracurricular activities (including NABA involvement), and awards/accomplishments. Applicants should provide dates for all items included in the resume.
  • Applicants who are not US citizens should be prepared to provide a copy of their permanent resident visa, if requested.

All materials above must be submitted via the online portal by March 31, 2020 for your application to be considered.

AfterCollege Science Student Scholarship

As a job and internship resource, our scholarships are for students who will be exemplary candidates in their field when the time comes to find an internship or job. This means that we evaluate applicants with the eye of a hiring manager, so: watch your grammar, check your spelling, put your best accomplishments forward and you may get paid for thinking about your future!

For students in:

Biological Sciences

Physical Sciences

– Open to currently enrolled students who are working toward a degree (AA,AS, BA, BS, MS, PhD) in one of the many fields of science
– Science can include (but is not limited to): Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics, Zoology, etc.
– Minimum 3.0 GPA

As a job and internship resource, our scholarships are for students who demonstrate professionalism and effectively communicate how they will be exemplary candidates in their field. This means that we evaluate applicants with the eye of a hiring manager, so: watch your grammar, check your spelling, put your best accomplishments forward and you may get paid for thinking about your future!
For students in:

Eligibility requirements:

– Open to currently enrolled students working toward a degree in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics from a group underrepresented in their field of study. Underrepresented groups may be defined by: gender, race, ethnic background, disability, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, nationality and other non-visible differences.

– Minimum 3.0 GPA
