In honor of Chatham Global Focus Year of Scandinavia, the Chatham Music Program presents Scandinavian Music Festival: The Nordic Sound.

Friday Afternoon Musicale

October 19: Romantic Giants: Schubert and Schumann; Sha Wang, Piano

November 16: The Nordic Sound: Denmark, Music by Kuhlau, Gade, Nielsen, Langgaard; Walter Morales, piano

January 18: The Nordic Sound: Sweden, Music by Berwald, Sjögren, Stenhammar, Petersen-Berger; Walter Morales, piano

February 15: Music for Flute, The Nordic Sound: featuring music by Finish and Danish composers; Deidre Huckabay, flute, and the Pittsburgh Trillium Ensemble

March 22: The Nordic Sound: featuring music of Scandinavian composers, Students of the Music Program

April 19: The Nordic Sound: Norway, Music by Halvorsen, Grieg, Sinding, Tellefsen; Walter Morales, piano


Chamber Music series

Performances are held in the James Laughlin Music Center, unless stated otherwise.

Admission is $15. Free for Chatham students, faculty and staff.
