Student Recital – Fall 2015
On December 7, 2015, the students who receive private lessons gave an excellent showcase of their progress at the student recital. All vocal performances were accompanied by Mr. Walter Morales, piano.
Bethany Bookout, soprano, performed Fleur jetée by Gabriel Fauré. Bethany studies voice with Professor Stacey Conner.
Chelsea Alvarado, cello, performed Song for Sienna by Brian Crain. She was accompanied by Paula Tuttle, piano.
Elizabeth Romano, soprano, performed Music For A While by Henry Purcell, Heidenröslein vy Franz Schubert, and Una donna a quindici anni, from Cosi Fan Tutte by W.A. Mozart. Elizabeth is a Minna Kaufmann Ruud scholar studying vocal performance with Dr. Kelly Lynch and Mr. Walter Morales.
Francesca Fello, soprano, performed Nymphs and Shepherds by Henry Purcell, Romance from Rosamunde by Franz Schubert, and Malinconia, ninfa gentile by Vincenzo Bellini. Francesca is a Minna Kaufmann Ruud scholar studying vocal performance with Dr. Kelly Lynch and Mr. Walter Morales.
Gabrielle Ford, viola, performed Bridges, a piece she composed. Gabrielle Ford is accompanied by her instructor, Roger Zahab, violin.
Hannah Gregor, mezzo-soprano performed Bess of Bedlam by Henry Purcel, Von ewiger Liebe by Johannes Brahms, and Vivi Tiranno from Rodelinda by G.F. Handel. Hannah is a Minna Kaufmann Ruud scholar studying vocal performance with Dr. Kelly Lynch and Mr. Walter Morales. Hannah also performed Gymnopédie No. 3, by Erik Satie on piano. She studies piano under Professor Pauline Rovkah.
Justine Barry, soprano, performed O del mio dolce ardor by Christoph Willibald Gluck. Justine studies voice with Professor Stacey Conner.
Kathryn Polaski, piano, performed Träumerei from Kinderszenen, op. 15 by Robert Schumann, Girl with the Flaxen Hair from Preludes, Book 1 by Debussy, and Andaluza from Spanish Dances, Op. 37 No. 5, by Enrique Granados. Kathryn studies piano with Professor Pauline Rovkah.
Mary Watt-Morse, piano, performed Gnossienne No. 1 by Erik Satie. She studies piano with Professor Pauline Rovkah and voice with Professor Stacey Conner.
Sarah Weinschenker, soprano, performed Sweeter than Roses by Henry Purcell, Bedeckt mich mit Blumen by Hugo Wolf, and Let Beauty Awake by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Sarah is a Minna Kaufmann Ruud scholar studying vocal performance with Dr. Kelly Lynch and Mr. Walter Morales.
Tanya Guterson-Trestman, guitar, performed Snowflight by Andrew York as a solo. Then, accompanied by her guitar instructor, John Marcinizyn, they performed Blackbird by Lennon and McCartney.
