Friday Afternoon Musicale: Virtuosity and Sensitivity

Menghua Lin graced Chatham with her musical talent on September 21st at one of Chathams’ traditional friday musicales.

This performance featured Lowell Liebermann’s Nocturne No. 4, Op. 38, Tyzen Hsiao’s Farewell Etude Op. 55, Frederic Chopin’s Scherzo No. 4, Op. 54, and Robert Schumann’s Humoreske Op. 20. A native of Taiwan, Dr. Lin has performed worldwide in Asia, Europe, and the United States of America, appearing as recitalist and soloist at various festivals. Formerly, Dr. Lin was piano faculty at the Pre-College Division at Carnegie Mellon University and currently is piano faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp as well as serving as board member at Fortnightly Music Club. She recently made her solo debut, in the summer of 2018, at the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan!
