In this interactive session, Natasha will discuss her essay Common Ground, in which she writes how gardening connected her with her own family members and her ancestral roots. It will also give participants a sneak peek into everyday life in the U.S. and share about theirs. Speaker’s bio: Natasha Garrett was born and raised in Macedonia and lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She came to the U.S. as an international student. She is a writer and a translator whose work has appeared in numerous national and international publications. She works at La Roche University as a director of international student services and an adjunct professor.
