How the fossil fuel and fracking industries are influencing children

This is an NPR article from 2017, but I think that it’s extremely important to read, even today. This article shows how the fossil fuel industry is sabotaging a generation of children in Oklahoma by giving them half-truths and omitting the important facts, such as the existence of climate change. I also think that it is interesting since it shows how economic inequality can directly affect the quality of people’s education, mainly how lobbying and industry can use their money to influence education towards young, impressionable children. The fracking industry’s predatory strategies specifically chose schools which were facing financial difficulty.
