CampusNexus

The Chatham University student information system is CampusNexus, formerly known as CampusVue. This system is both integrated with Moodle and a standalone tool. It is a repository of video tutorials about different technologies and more. It is a robust resource. Everyone at Chatham is permitted to use Hoonuit. It is connected to AD – users just have to login with their Chatham email and password.

Moodle
All Moodle Documentation can be found here:
Moodle is our learning management system (lms). It contains all courses. It is where both teachers and students go to turn in assignments, participate in forums and online chats. It also allows faculty and students to easily communicate and to post and view unofficial grades.

Panopto

Panopto provides integrated video recording, live streaming, video management, and inside-video search. Panopto can be added to any Moodle course. The Panopto LTI can be used in 2 way: (1) For the faculty member to record lectures and for students to view the lectures in Moodle (2) For both faculty and students to record and view Panopto recordings in Moodle.
PB Works

PB Works is a wiki that is mainly used by the Nursing Department for online portfolio creation. We have a campus workspace that students will have to request access to in order to gain access various features.
Poll Everywhere

PollEv is a polling system that allows faculty to get real time feedback from students. We have a campus license. This tool also integrates with PowerPoint and can be embedded in Moodle – but is not fully integrated with Moodle.
Portal

Portal is where faculty enter grades and find official rosters.

VoiceThread
Documentation: VoiceThread Documentation
VoiceThread is fully integrated with Moodle, although some faculty do use it outside of the Moodle environment. VoiceThread allows users to have a dynamic conversation around a piece of media. Students and Faculty can leave either typed, audio or video comments. Faculty and students do not need to create accounts – they are automatically created when the tool is used in Moodle.

Sophos VPN clients provide easy-to-use and transparent remote access to all company applications. This is provided through secure SSL or IPsec VPNs from Windows, Linux, Mac OS and UNIX-based systems.
How to Quickly Map Drives on a PC:
- Connect via VPN
- Click on this link to download the remote drive login script
- Unzip the file
- Double click the file to run and map all drives.
- Step 4 will need repeated every time you access VPN
WordPress
Chatham’s WordPress blogs are hosted with CampusPress. Anyone at Chatham can request/create a blog by going to the website. They simply need to login with their Chatham username and password – it is connected to AD. Since WordPress is so robust we often guide users with complicated questions to Hoonuit.
Zoom

Zoom is our online meeting tool. It is both integrated with Moodle and a standalone tool. It is integrated with Outlook, too. It allows users to connect and video chart, share screens and more. Everyone at Chatham is permitted to use Zoom. It is connected to AD – they just have to login with their Chatham email and password.
If anyone needs to use this tool to do a webinar they have to email instructionalservices@chatham.edu because we have a very limited license for this feature that will have to be turned on.
